I built my PC 2 months ago, i5 14600k, deepcool le240 v2 cooler, and with basic undervolting, my processor was reaching a maximum of 78° on Cinebench (note: the thermal paste has always been MX4). With the installation of the contact frame, same thermal paste, same configuration, the maximum temperature dropped to 72°, staying stable at 70° even under maximum load, a difference of 6-8° less in the computer. For the cost of this frame, it’s really worth it. I wasn’t expecting to change the temperature so much, it’s really necessary.

It is possible to compare this model with a similar one that was previously purchased from another seller. Although they are visually similar, they are very different in design.
1. This one is much heavier.
2. Its thickness is indeed 6 mm, which allows its legs to fully fit onto the motherboard.
3. Thanks to the thicker rigid ribs, its bending during installation is almost completely eliminated.

I used it with a 14th generation i5 on a Gigabyte ultra-durable motherboard and everything has been fine. I haven’t noticed any noticeable drop in temperatures (the Gigabyte socket may have already been designed to prevent this issue), but the frame seems sturdy and should improve the potential warping problem. There was a problem with the delivery and the package remained lost for a month, but it was a logistics issue at the AliExpress airport. In any case, the product arrived in good condition, just three weeks later than expected.

I’m not sure if it’s just this time, but the delivery was fast. If the delivery is always this fast, it’s worth ordering. It fits perfectly with the 12th generation i5 CPU. The installation is a simple replacement where you loosen the screws from the existing guide, reinstall the cover you purchased, and tighten the screws. I didn’t buy this product because of heat issues; it’s just that when removing thermal grease from the CPU on the existing motherboard, it would get on the motherboard every time, making it troublesome to replace thermal paste. After replacing with this product, there are no more issues with thermal paste getting on the motherboard during thermal paste replacement. However, it’s hard to confirm if this cover was used externally because it’s covered by the CPU cooler, and it didn’t affect performance. The reason for using this cover is for convenience during thermal paste replacement.

Good quality item, easy to install, but for my setup it made no noticeable difference in cpu temps (msi b760m pro, i5 14600k, phantom spirit evo 120), it’s a luck of the draw thing and depends on how much your motherboard bends under pressure apparently, the more it bends the more benefit you’ll likely get.
